The line at Huntington Park Superior Court progressing at a painfully slow rate, I decided to begin a conversation with the two young men ahead of me. I began by expounding on the current political goings-on and, all subjects being connected at some point, proceeded to explain current tastes in music and fashion, taking a slight detour into film and architecture before ending up with a seething commentary on our slow progress and the proper policy to alleviate the wait for future court attendees. Well, I found myself thoroughly fascinating. I realized then and there that people all over the world can benefit from these same trenchant and thorough (yet pithy) observations; hence, this blog.
