You are ordered to active duty for...

...training. Whew! Just in time for the troop surge. When I was commissioned last year, I was given a choice of jobs (remember, in the Army reserve there aren't any combat arms) in the following critical-need areas:
Ordinance
Quartermaster
Transportation- The biggest target on the battlefield? Uhh uhh.
Chemical
AG- I already went as a clerk. I wanted something more outdoorsy.
Engineer- Interesting. I played it on BF 1942 and BF2. It was fun. Actually, I picked it because it was going to be the most challenging for me. I'm an average math student and tend to do better in academic settings. This was more hands-on and mathematical. I have no doubt that it will be very challenging indeed.
No psy-ops; no intel; no journalism; no finance. Some of the senior officers said I could transfer later on. Engineering it was. I leave for school in three weeks.
I tried to tell the Army that I was needed in the blogosphere, but they weren't buying. So, starting the fourth, my blogging will become much lighter and will continue to be so for a couple of months. Please stay with me. This blogging has been much too much fun to lose a bunch of readers just now.
