Save the Black man-Elect Edwards

Isn't this the classic liberal attitude? Unless we (liberals) save black men, they'll just die off. In other words, unlike every other population in the world, black people need white liberals to teach them how to avoid extinction. What do you have that blacks need to survive? Some kind of vaccine? No, he's going to say "we can't build enough prisons" and black criminals will what? Stop committing crime? What do we do with criminals? Won't black people who don't commit crime be upset with having so many criminals walking around?

He's suggesting that they need a president who will prevent them from avoiding extinction. I know he didn't mean that literally, but the sentiment is the same.
