George Bush: Foreign policy genius?
12/27/07

The question may seem absurd to some, but consider:
1. Libya has shifted from the terrorist camp to the village of peaceful nations.
2. North Korea expresses interest in giving up its weapons program. We've received cooperation from North Korea's neighbors.
3. If it's true that Iran has given up its weapons program, one can make the case that Bush's decisive actions in Iraq prompted Tehran's change of heart.
4. If it's not true, then certainly Iran is a liar state that needs a firm hand, not a reward in response to its deviousness.
5. Recent progress in Iraq could mean that Bush steered not only Iraq, but the Arab world, towards democracy. If Iraq becomes peaceful, the potential impact of Bush's steadfastness cannot be overestimated.
6. Despite wasting millions of his nation's petrodollars, Chavez has failed to turn the region against the United States.
7. Europe has elected pro-American leaders in France and Germany. Even the labor candidate in Australia visited Iraq in recognition of Australia's sacrifices there.
8. The peace process- useless though it may be- continues in Annapolis Maryland.
9. Pro-American governments on America's northern and southern borders.
10. India has emerged as a key U.S. ally.
11. Places "on the brink" like Pakistan and Turkey-Kurdish Iraq always reign themselves in at the last minute.
11. No major attacks on U.S. soil.
