"Clinton's fairy tale comment" - Another Take

01/15/08

Ok, here's an idea. I think of the media as this gross collective borg type entity, and it has decided it wants Obama and McCain. Those are the two guys those Ivy league pansies like the best. So that's who I think they'll aim their coverage towards.

Notice how in love with Obama they are? And how much they want to proclaim McCain the Republican leader when he's tied with two other candidates? You with me here?

So, my prediction is more negative coverage of Hillary and Romney, while Edwards and Hukabee are largely dismissed. Funny, no pretense of comparing them on the issues. Nope, since Edwards and Hukabee look to be third, let's not listen to them.

So I'd expect to see Hillary doing mild mistakes and getting crucified for it, while Obama gets a walk. Similarly, if Romney loses tomorrow, I bet the first question by every reporter is something like, "Are you leaving the race?", as if he should. What do you think?

I probably sound obnoxious, like I think I'm so smart, huh?

I'm not. Isn't Hukabee getting decent coverage? But they sure are ignoring Edwards. If I was him, I'd be kind of ticked. What do you think that's about?

And remember one last thing, in this awesome race, of only one thing can you be sure... Wait a few days, and things might look drastically different. So.... take all the above with a pinch of salt.

If Romney can't win the state he grew up in or the state right next to him, he obviously has trouble convincing people to vote for him.

I really don't think Romney would be able to compete on a national level, especially against Obama. McCain at least has a chance and most polls suggest he has a better chance of beating a democratic candidate compared to other Republicans because he can draw some of the independent and even democratic vote.

I don't disagree with either of you. I'm
just saying that if Romney goes, we reach a
turning point where we definately can't
won't have a conservative president. So, personally, I'd rather take my chances with Romney in the general election because I
think McCain would do very similiar things
to Hillary. In other words, if I can't have
a real conservative, just give me a liberal.
