I knew all of that "togetherness" stuff was a crock. Did you notice how Obama didn't shake Clinton's hand after the debate? And Hillary's sicking Bill on Obama with a flurry of obvious lies and then insisting that she's "the one running not Bill" when it blows up in her face is pathetic.

Style:

Hillary's attacks are ineffective because they all sound like opposition research stuff. In other words, it's obvious that Hillary gave the command to "find something on Obama."

Obama was fine. He showed some strength in responding and spoke well. he was the funniest. He's not a liar and truly not a divider. Can't one praise Reagan a little?

Edwards rubs me the wrong way. Obsequious, smiley sweet, and attacking while at the same time saying that people don't want to hear squabbles. Did he not hear Obama say that voting "present" was a tactical thing. Why repeat it? And, every debate, he has some kind of weepy story. The best you can say for him is that he's twice the man Hillary is.

Bringing people together:

For three people that want to bring the nation together, they sure don't have high regard for that half of people who like Ronald Reagan or of conservatives in general. It's kind of double-talky, isn't it?

Poverty:

Anybody who says he has a plan to end poverty is the worst kind of liar. Is it consistent to allow for a "path to citizenship" while saying that we have millions of people whose poverty needs eliminating? Think about it. They're all proud of their private efforts to alleviate poverty, but insist that it's government's job. Hey, if one of you get elected: knock yourselves out eliminating poverty.

Health Care:

Fascism alert! In double talk, part two, Hillary said that her plan includes personal responsibility. Really? It mandates care so I guess by personal responsibility, she means the responsibility to sit back and be told what to do.

Edwards, who spent most of his career making health care more expensive, says it's too expensive.

Obama at least gives people a say in whether they want to be insured or not.

Lending:

The most divisive guy running is Edwards. He can slice up the American population 47 different ways. A new one today is between "predator" and "prey." A "predator" is somebody who's willing to make risky loans. Of course, the people signing for the loan have no responsibility in the matter. By the way, if lending really is based on race and not on income, that's horrible.

Iraq:

Three candidates lying to minimize American success. After the primary, they'll all help themselves by saying that they now want to win. And, why can we have bases all over the world except where American soldiers would do most good? Why can American soldiers be in Kuwait and not Iraq? Saudi Arabia? Honestly, I want to know.

Race:

Talk about having one's cake and eating it too. It matters; it doesn't matter. I liked Obama's "dancing" joke. Black people do dance certain dances better. Isn't it obvious? I wonder what the "other things I'll have to check out" are. Maybe he can ask Monica Lewinsky about one.
