We're not at war with the whole Muslim world, right? Just the evil Down syndrome killers, si?

So, why would conservatives like my boss at Little Green Footballs cheer Wikipedia as it offends Muslims? Don't tell me that it's freedom of speech- nobody thinks that the FCC or whoever should tell Wikipedia to take it down.

It's because some conservatives have made Islam the enemy. They act like uncool kids after seeing a jock get turned down for a date: "Finally; look how mad he's getting."

If Wikipedia showed something offending Catholics, I wouldn't think it a bad thing if people got together and presented Wikipedia with a petition. You'd probably start it yourself. As long as it's not a violent protest like in the Danish cartoons or government-forced like in the more enlightened nations, who cares?

And, if I owned Wikipedia, I'd take it down. Not because I'm scared, but because I'm needlessly offending somebody's religion. Remember, PC is only bad when it conceals the truth. Otherwise, it's just politeness.
