Philadelphia Clinton-Obama debate analysis/ commentary part 1

04/16/08

Wow! That was uncomfortable. Fifty minutes of dancing and lying around and about their recent whoppers, revealing gaffes, and radical friendships.

So, if Hillary were president, she would have avoided the housing crisis. Well, you were a senator, Mrs. Clinton: Why didn't you bring it up?

As far as Iraq: Saying that they'd leave Iraq no matter what, is irresponsible, and moderate people will see it as a promise to the left wing.

Tom Coburn saying abortionists should be punished in a court of law is the same as terrorism?

They did better on taxes. At least, I can see this "raise taxes on everybody except you" game as effective.

The moderators are being relatively tough. I can't comment on every dumb idea and lie, however I'll come up with another one later.

It's an interesting debate because so much has transpired since the last one.
