Maneuvering Democrats on the G.I. Bill
05/26/08
How easy it would be for Bush and McCain to just sign off on every piece of legislation that spends on soldiers. But, Bush has got a country to run and enticing soldiers to leave the military would make for less soldiers- soldiers we need because we're in a war. Or, maybe that's what the Democrats want. Since they haven't been able to cut funding for the war, maybe they're trying to cut troop levels to the point where the United States couldn't invade Berkeley.
This "support this or you hate soldiers" is a disgusting tactic and one that's been tried on McCain. McCain is now "pro-torture" because he didn't support a piece of Democratic legislation. Shame on my brother and sister Democrats.
