As Sowell's pointed out a couple of times on Townhall, the electorate can be broken down into the half of America that wants to be...well, America and the other half who wants to be Europe, from union propping to health care.

Socially, we're headed there as well:

People ask how policies like same sex marriage would affect my family? Well, since I must send my kids to public school (Vouchers- the best single policy change Americans could choose.), my teachers, when my daughter brings up that she wants to get married, will now ask, "To a man or a woman? (Dennis Prager suggested this scenario.).

Big deal? I suppose we'll survive, but compared to the absolute lack of advantage of promoting same-sex marriage, the choice is clear.
