Egyptian endorsement for Guirado candidacy.
07/21/08
My Egyptian friend (I won't mention his name for security reasons.)- a true gentleman, scholar, and man dedicated to God and family- from officer school recently wrote me this message, if you'd like the Egyptian perspective on the election:
Why not to drill for it [oil]: to keep it for the next generations or still have more when others tanks are empty? :)
Anyways, peaple here who sympathize with Obama may do so because he's coloured. Others, maybe more, like McCain. They are convinced that the older you are, the wiser you are: It's about 50-50. I think that I'd vote for you, G!!
Thanks for the endorsement! Now all I need is my own seal.
My friend and I would also discuss other topics like religion. Now, he's a Muslim and I'm a Catholic (It was because of him that I moved away from "Clash of Civilization" stuff and adopted a more conciliatory attitude towards my Muslim brothers. And hope here.). He once asked how it was that people didn't believe in God, "Who would you thank when something good happens?" Who indeed.
