1. The Paris Hilton- Brittney Spears (What, no Nicole and Lindsey Lohan? Kim Kardashian?) is the dumbest ad of the campaign season. First, this kind of "narrative-making" is better done by surrogates. Remember when Hillary attacked Obama for his speechifying? She sounded envious. Second, if Paris or Brittney had any connection to Obama like Pamela Anderson, the ad might make sense. As it is now, it's an embarrassment.
Not racist or sexist, or anything horrible; just dumb.
2. Stick it to the terrorists- inflate your tires. I wonder if one of Obama's "green jobs" will be "tire inflation checker."
Of course, we can drill and check tires.
3. WaPo says that McCain is lying about Obama's aborted troop visit:
The essence of McCain's allegation is that Obama planned to take a media entourage, including television cameras, to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany during his week-long foreign trip, and that he canceled the visit when he learned he could not do so. "I know that, according to reports, that he wanted to bring media people and cameras and his campaign staffers," McCain said Monday night on CNN's "Larry King Live."
The real reason is that Obama couldn't take one person in his campaign. McCain should apologize thusly:
"I was wrong. I now know that Obama didn't visit the troops because he couldn't take one campaign staffer. I had said that it was because the Army wouldn't let him take cameras. Obama isn't the kind of man who can visit soldiers by himself or with people not connected to his campaign."
