1. How does Obama know the health care bill will help if he doesn't even know what's in it? Here.

2. This is because of Obama's management style: He's a delegator, "Go do something about health care, will you?"

3. He does seem to be coming apart. Questioning somebody's motives is the last resort of a scoundrel (and the first resort of a liberal).

In a Rose Garden statement from the White House, Obama said Republicans "who openly announce their intentions to block this reform" would "rather score political points" than confront an ailing health care system that is draining the federal budget while leaving 46 million Americans uninsured.

"Time and again we've heard excuses to delay and defeat reform," Obama said a day after Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele called for blocking health care legislation under debate in Congress.

The president said such tactics "play the politics of the moment instead of putting the interests of the people first."

"Some will try to delay action so that special interests can kill it," Obama said.

OK:

-If Obama didn't want to drain the federal budget, he wouldn't propose a new entitlement that...drains the federal budget by 1 trillion dollars.

-It seems that most of the special interests are for the bill- the AMA, unions, Walmart, ACORN, trial lawyers.

-Can we have a moratorium on saying something is the "politics of..." (personal destruction, fear, etc.)?

Why doesn't Obama debate somebody like Bobby Jindal? Obama's so eloquent and stuff; he's sure to win.

My good friend from magnasquids, Templar, told me what an expert on Mayan civilization being interviewed on the radio thought about Apocalypto:

I will help. The professors from Texas A&M first ripped on the idea of a dense jungle in an around the immediate Capitol city. They know this from the Spanish Monk descriptions of the cities and how they were lined with a form of heated limestone throughout. In order to heat the limestone, the forrests around the capitol cities were cut down. In addition, they pointed out that although the Mayans had a very sophisticated communication system (i dont know what it consited of as i passed through hills at this point and my radio signal dropped for a few minutes), the main character jaguar paw didnt know what was going on 1 days walk away, as though that distance were in fact another world in itself. Another innacuracy they talked about was that there were over 35-40 local dialectic languages that were completely phoneticly different from one another. This raised a problem as some raiders from another mindless, over-exxagerted, hand gesturing, human sacraficing tribe, came to slaughter everyone and spoke the very same language as the peoples they were slughtering. I didnt have a chance to listen to the whole show as I arrived to work. I hope this helps a little.

Interpretation: This movie is pretty darn accurate, but because Mayan movies aren't made every day this is my big chance to justify having read 174 books on Mayan culture.

Ignorant-I disagree with this person, but am too lazy to say why. As in, "you don't like feces-smearing, obscenity-laced performance art because you're ignorant." Of what? like I don't know what feces is. This mode of argument usually always comes up when discussing a certain subject that I won't mention now because I don't want to offend some friends of mine. But it involves something that, it's true, my wife had no first-hand experience in, but knew of the behaviors involed-therefore making her not ignorant. And she was still called ignorant.
