This article criticizing McCain's handling of the Rockefeller affair seems fair. It's tough to counter such attacks without seeming self-righteous. The article isn't filled with the mocking invective one expects of the Nation.
Another article has cases of conservative bias in a textbook. That's a switch! The criticisms aren't serious, but they are valid.

This is my first official post in the "reasonable liberal" category. This isn't the "liberals who agree with me or hate other liberals" section. These are reasonable arguments coming from declared liberals that I may or may not agree with.
The first guy, Gregory Rodriguez, asks why liberals can't be seen as patriotic. It really has to do with the feeling that if one side likes something it has to be bad. Thus, conservatives who condemn granola.
Oh, and patriotism can bring together and separate like anything else (economics, religion, sports, sex, etc.), ever. It's up to wise people to use its power for good and filter the bad chunks.
Article.
