As a personal policy, I don't take psychological attacks on political figures or people who hold contrary points of view too seriously, as they take the focus off of the issue at hand.

I associate such methods with the left, primarily. Specifically, authors such as Theodor Adorno whose Authoritarian Personality classifies non-conformity with leftist ideas (Coincidentally, Adorno was a leftist.) as a mental disorder. One notices the modern manifestation of the "they must be crazy (or evil)" technique when somebody dissents on immigration, affirmative action (racists), or homosexual marriage (homophobes).

Well, two can play at that game. This fascinating article examines Obama's deepest inclination, America-hatred, in light of what the author knows about Obama's mother, Miss Dunham, and Obama's wife, the lovely and strident, Michelle Obama. It's well-written and filled with biting quotes such as "spouses don't need to share likes, but they must share hatreds."

Again, should such psych-profiling influence your vote? I don't think so, but it's a great read.
