Tancredo announces Quinceanera initiative to win over Latino electorate

06/10/07

In an effort to win over Latino voters, Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo has announced plans to offer, if elected, a Quinceañera Savings Account or QSA. According to the plan, families can place up to $3000.00 a year in their QSA. The money is then allowed to grow tax-free until withdrawn for qualified Quinceañera expenses.

“I don’t think quince años celebrations should be restricted to the wealthy. Every girl deserves her day,” said Tom Tancredo during the announcement in front of his entire family and his gardener.

A Quinceañera or Quince Años (fifteen years) is similar to the American custom of a Sweet Sixteen birthday party or debutante ball and is supposed to celebrate a young lady’s entry into adulthood.

I would like to thank my jefe, Tom Tancredo, for this wonderful opportunity for my little princess Anabel," said Pedro Fulano, Tancredo's gardener. "Tancredo been very good to me and my Hispanic friends. Well, today, Tancredo been very good to me."

86 hospitals in California have closed
and are out of business due to the ER use by illegals from Mexico.
30 billion dollars are sent back to Mexico in the form of a remittances.
This is the second highest source of income for Mexicans.
The second richest man in the world is a
Mexican. He owns the telephone monopoly in Mexico. He makes all that money stealing from Mexicans. No competition!
And you want Tancredo to pay for the Quinceañera!?????
Ask Carlos Slim to pay for the Quinceañera!

Simmer down. I was making a joke. It's like a satire.

OK,I looked at more of your stuff and it
is funny.
The irony and humor of the Tancredo piece makes sense if someone believed Tancredo was anti-mexican. At least make
a joke about Carlos Slim and the greedy bastard that he is.

I'll try to think of one. The joke was prompted by Tancredo's performance in the debate. You have to admit, Tancredo's message is not going to fly. Conservatives don't win culture wars by attacking people or singling them out. No chance. Thanks for reading, however.

I found you on Digg. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. As a professional Quinceanera planner you can imagine that this is music to my ears. But seriously it would be nice for more girls to have a Quince..not simply the well off.

As the author of Quinceanera Connection: Your Dream Celebration On Any Budget. I think the idea is great. The tradition is a beautiful one, but to many families are going into deep debt having a very elaborate celebration they can't afford. If families planned ahead and budgeted for the event it would be a win/win.
