My friend over at Magnasquids posted the following:

D***, what is it about successful black football players that pisses people off so much. I bet if OJ was white and was found not guilty, that whole mess would of blew over after a year and his banishment from the American main stream would have lifted already. Look at Barretta? Lyndsay Lohan is a d*** menace on our streets, but everyone still loves her. The Vice President shot somebody for Christ [capitalized for my pagan friend] sake.

I gave it good thinkin' and concluded that his whole point is moot. For, if O.J. Simpson were indeed white, he probably wouldn't have been fast enough to enter the N.F.L. Instead, he'd be an assistant manager at a Circuit City boring the afternoon shift about how he was a tough halfback with great balance in high school (but ran a 4.9 40) and sneaking off for clandestine twenty minute increments of WoW on the company network (the guy in car stereo taught him how to disable the firewall).

Beautiful Nicole, of course, would never have shown the least bit of interest in O.J., be happily divorced from a real football player, and enjoying the company of good-listening waiters.

The rest of us would have moved on to more important stories like Britney's weight gain and Paris' Boethius-like philosophical deepening.

O.J. should have gotten life just for donning that pathetic uniform (go Bruins!)
