Oye Chico! My first podcast.

I suppose every people has a certain informal address amongst themselves that becomes their trademark of sorts and, therefore, the basis of any mockery or flattery by others. So, the Australians have "mate." The English, "chap." In California, you'll hear "dude." Southerners drawl "feller." Russians used to refer to each other as "comrade." George Bush calls Chaney, "my (dark) lord."
Amongst my Latin brothers and sisters: Mexicans use "buey (ox)," "compa," amongst others; Argentines say "che." Cubans are famous across Latin America for "chico (small one)." In fact, almost every time somebody wants to imitate a Cuban, you'll hear this expression.
You might say that today's song is "chico-centric." The album (below), from 1959, is very good- "swinging," for sure. Enjoy, chico.
