Musical Tribute to Super Tuesday
02/05/08

First California. According to polls, Hillary needs to get a high percentage of single (or angry) California girls to steal a victory from Obama.
We had some New York songs yesterday. I found another one by Sting called Englishman in New York. It sounds just like you'd think Sting singing a song about New York would sound.
Maine had their caucus last week:
Follow up:
By the time I get to Phoenix by Glenn Campbell:
Sorry to be so obvious, but it's a great song. Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Al Green, one of the top five soul singers in history was born in Dansby, Arkansas. I'm very thankful to Soul Train. Pico Rivera schools never had very good sex education so Soul Train had to fill in the gaps.
Delaware has to be the least musical state in the union! Anyways, the best I could do is the White Cliffs of Dover (Delaware).
Kansas City, Missouri sung by the Beatles.
Oklahoma. I lived in Lawton for a couple of months. Nice people. Glad to be home.
Utah. Crazy Horses by the Osmonds.
Pleasant Valley (West Virginia) Sunday. The Monkeys.
North to Alaska by the great Johnny Horton.
Busy Doin' Nothin' by Bing Crosby in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
According to Laura Ingraham and Rush Limbaugh, McCain is Satan.
This one takes care of two states. Glenn Miller is from Colorado and here he performs Chattanooga (Tennessee) Choo Choo. Try not to like this:
The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, is from New Jersey.
Cab Calloway: Hi-De-(Ida)Ho
The Standells sing Dirty Water.
Minnesota has a lot of good musicians. The two most famous are probably Prince, and Bob Dylan:
Prince:
Dylan, Mr. Tambourine Man:
Illinois happens to be one of the most musically rich states in the union. All of that Blues! Then you have the Impressions, etc. I'll go with Muddy and Got my Mojo Working from one of the greatest music labels in history, Chess.
Umm, Hannah Montana:
John Denver is from Roswell, New Mexico. "He was born in his 27th year?" Are all New Mexicans as illogical?:
This one is from the show Roswell:
Finally, Peggy Lee is from North Dakota:
Now, get of here and do right like other men do- Go Vote!
