Do atheists ever doubt the non-existence of God?

09/10/07

Amid all of the surprise and joy accompanying the release of Mother Teresa's private letters in which she felt a darkness caused by not feeling the presence of God, one question failed to be asked: Don't atheists ever doubt God's non-existence? Don't they feel God's gentle nudge at times? Don't they ever think, "yeah, this is pretty amazing- us being smart, having free-will (seemingly), heck, us being here at all?" As a recent former atheist (college + a few years) the answer is, "of course, yes!" Welcome to the seeking club, brothers.
