I'm somewhat surprised that Shoot em up didn't do so well. Not because I thought it would be a good movie, but because it seemed so mindlessly violent- I'm happy that the public subverted my expectations on this one. The Brave One looked violent, but it wasn't mindless as the motive was more clear.
I'm shocked that Dragon Wars did. It's a horrible movie in every way. Stardust, like the Nativity Story is a personal favorite that didn't do well. But, that's why I'm a teacher and not a movie executive.
