Movie Review: College Road Trip- Good daughter movie.
03/10/08

I was at Army drill today so I sent my wife, son, and daughter to the Krikorian with the understanding that one of them would write a review.
College Road Trip, for those of you who don't watch afternoon TV or Kids' cable is Martin Lawrence's descent into Chevy Chase/Eddie Murphy-like respectability. It stars a large percentage of the players on the Disney Channel. My son doesn't like to write “for no reason,” but when I asked him about the movie, he didn't share my daughter's enthusiasm. He admitted that some of it is entertaining, but cautioned that “Not every part is funny.” He also decried the lack of “action.” The paragraph below is from Samantha:
Raven's dad was pretty protective. Raven's dad doesn't even let her go to a sleepover. If he did, he would go spy on her. Raven doesn't like when he is like that. She really wants him to trust her. College Road Trip is really funny, but there's a lot of talking. Raven found a crazy girl. Raven and her father want to sing karaoke. It's still a great movie. On a scale of 1-10, I would give it an 8 (Samantha, Asymmetric uses a grade-school metaphor to keep with the overall education theme. An “8” would be a “B.”)
So, there you have it.
