iPod change of heart. High School market research
09/06/07
This is an addendum to this post. I discussed the new iPod with my high school class and they were enthusiastic about the new iPod and its touch screen. The only reason they gave was that it was "newer technology," but the discussion caused me to reconsider the touch screen, and it started making sense the more I thought about it. Although not an advantage with music, a touch pad can be very useful for internet navigation. That combined with a bigger screen can make for a decent browsing experience.
**Thinking some more, a touch screen can help find artists and songs faster by eliminating the need to scroll through hundreds of songs. You can just tap on the letter of the artist.

I have most of my 60GB iPod full and navigating to a specific album out of 564 artists and 963 CDs is messy and a touch interface could make it much easier. Though unfortunately they only put the touch interface on the flash based models which are much too small for me.
