mp3 case review: DLO action jacket
09/24/07
The Apple iPod classic is a wonderful joy apparatus that's made this Mac-disliker a believer. Unfortunately, it also seems like a delicate device with a back especially prone to scratches. It makes sense to buy a jacket. If you think about it, a case may not only save an iPod's life, but it may also pay for itself when you upgrade to the new 320GB iPod touch in a couple of years; "well taken care of and scratch-free" will fetch you a couple of dollars at least.

Follow up:
In order to keep my puma-like svelteness and lightning reflexes, I need to work out on occasion so I preferred one that came with an armband. Best Buy had one from DLO called the Action Jacket. I'm all about action, so I purchased it. The Action Jacket was designed for the fifth generation (5G) iPods, but the new 160GB Classic iPod is about the same size. It indeed fit well. The quality neoprene with extra-rubbery sides seems like it will do a good job protecting my baby. The bottom allows the iPod to connect to my now-adolescent laptop. You can attach earphones around the top velcroed strap. The belt-clip is of high quality and the strap fits over my hulking, powerful bicep.
Here comes the big "but." The plastic covering the screen is fine, but the plastic over the touch scroll wheel renders the wheel useless. Apparently, the plastic is too thick.
